V. Eugene Kilmore, Jr., M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Kilmore received his medical degree from Temple University in 1973 and completed his residency in ophthalmology at Albany Medical Center in 1977. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Refractive Surgery, as well as a member of the Pennsylvania and Dauphin County Medical Societies. The American Board of Ophthalmology granted him certification in 1978. Dr. Kilmore is on the medical staff of Holy Spirit Hospital. He has been in private practice since July of 1977.

Foster E. Kreiser, O.D.

Dr. Kreiser hails from Hummelstown, PA. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. After attending Virginia Commonwealth University (1977), the J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College (1983), and the University of Richmond (1985), he received his O.D. from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1989. Upon graduation he completed his residency at the Jackson Eye Institute in Jackson, Mississippi, specializing in Ocular Disease Treatment. In 1991 he joined Kilmore Eye Associates to provide primary eye care and co-management to postoperative and ocular disease patients. At the same time Dr. Kreiser maintained a private practice in New Cumberland until February 1998. At that time he merged his practice with Kilmore Eye Associates and now practices full time here.

John W. Pratt, M.D.

Dr. Pratt attended Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee where he graduated summa cum laude, and completed his ophthalmic residency at Albany Medical Center, Albany, New York, serving as chief resident his senior year. Attention to detail and a fascination with the intricacies of the eye led Dr. Pratt to specialize in ophthalmology. In addition to his medical interests, Dr. Pratt is fluent in French and Spanish having spent a good portion of his life living overseas in South America, Switzerland, and Spain. Dr. Pratt enjoys spending time with his wife and four delightful children, entertaining others with his silly jokes, reading a good book, and cluttering up the dining room table with a jigsaw puzzle.

Ryan J. Hershberger, O.D.

Dr. Hershberger received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia, PA, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Visual Sciences from Salus University and a Bachelor's degree in biology at Messiah College. He trained clinically at multiple locations across the country including Pennsylvania, Connecticut and in the hospital system for Indian Health Services in Wyoming. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association and the National Glaucoma Society. Dr. Hershberger joined Kilmore Eye Associates in 2005 and enjoys practicing full scope medical optometry as well as general optometric care. He looks forward to being with his wife and two children at the end of the day and enjoys reading, movies and swimming. 

Michael Szmodis, M.D.

Dr. Szmodis graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Puget Sound in Washington State.  He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C.  He completed a year of internal medicine training at Fletcher Allen Health Care, affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine.  Dr. Szmodis completed his ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical College, Albany, New York.  Before joining Kilmore Eye Associates, Dr. Szmodis practiced comprehensive ophthalmology in New Hampshire.  In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and is an avid reader.
